Well its been a handful of months since i posted a video of my 75 gallon. Figured I'd update you all on this natural wonder ;D. The stock has been slimmed out a little bit. It seems that crowding SA/CA cichlids is not doable like it is with african cichlids. My Salvini died of an unknown disease, and my Jaguar (who once was the smallest in the tank by a long shot) had grown significantly larger than the rest and was bullying my bleekeri so I got rid of the bastard. My Puffer (Tweezy) died after a two years of having him =[. His teeth had grown too large for him to eat, and he died only a day or two after I purchased an anesthetic I planned to use so I could trim them. I've also added 6 Synodontis zebras to the mix, 4 of which made the cut (lived), and have since grown large and healthy. My Turqoise and my Red Jewel cichlids became a mateing pair and I have successfully bred the two (i will post a video of the hybrid fry soon) My Jack Dempsey has now outgrown the firemouth (who is much older than the rest of the cichlids in the tank) and now is the lead dominator of the tank. Plants have been added, but unfortunately only little bits of the 10 anubias I originally purhcased survived. I'm now on a new plant feeding system (still lacking adequate Co2) and weekly 50% water changes. NEW SPECS! Still the same power compact 4 foot 4 bulb fixture, half 10k and half actinic moved the two 70 gallon filters to other tanks and now have 2 Aqua Clear 110 gallon filters no heater (broke ...
